What is your fee? Do you offer sliding scale?

My fee for individual therapy is $100 per session.

I offer a sliding scale fee to a limited number of clients in financial need, which can be discussed during a phone consultation. I accept cash, credit card, and some insurance plans as payment for services.

Do you take insurance?

YES! At this time I accept the following insurance plans:

Cigna

BlueCross/BlueShield

Beacon 

Clients with other insurance plans must pay out of pocket OR check with your insurance company to see if you have out-of-network coverage benefits. Services may be covered in full or in part by your health insurance or employee benefit plan. I can provide you with a billing statement to submit in order to be reimbursed directly from your insurance company. Please check your coverage carefully by asking the following questions:

  • Do I have out-of-network mental health insurance benefits?

  • What is my deductible and has it been met?

  • How many sessions per year does my health insurance cover?

  • What is the coverage amount per 45min-therapy session?

  • Is approval required from my primary care physician?

Are our sessions confidential?

Confidentiality is one of the most important components between a client and psychotherapist and you can expect that what you discuss in session will not be shared with anyone unless you authorize via written consent. 

 

State law and professional ethics require therapists to maintain confidentiality except for the following situations:

 

* Suspected or reported abuse or neglect of children or elders.

* If the therapist has reason to suspect the client is seriously in danger of harming him/herself or has threatened to harm another person.
